Toby the Griffin

Toby the Griffin is a 12' steel sculpture by artist Joe O'Connell located on Scott Avenue in the heart of downtown Tucson. The former Carnegie Library across the street had Griffins that were removed during a renovation following a fire in 1938. It's thought that Toby escaped and took up residence here. Look for the Griffin prints in the sidewalk. Toby has LED lights that look amazing at night...which means a night time visit is in order. #thisistucson.
