Sleepy orange - (Abaeis nicippe) butterfly

Top: Sleepy Orange butterfly on Gregg's Mistflower. Middle:  sipping water from the gravel at the base of my fountain. Below: On the Lantana. They don't become active until the day warms up (My kind of butterfly!...)  One entry I read said it gets its name from the slashed line on the wing that looks like a closed eye. 🦋
